Tanja Polegubic: working with Swiss EP is incredibly rewarding
My standout Swiss EP moment was definitely my first assignment: working with the Tirana municipality team to support the delivery of the inaugural Tirana Digital Nomad Festival.
Tanja Polegubic joined our expert network in 2023, supporting organizations and institutions who want to work with digital nomads. This is her favorite Swiss EP moment.
Being part of the Swiss EP community has been a really rewarding experience. Through Swiss EP in Albania, I've met some remarkable people, many of whom I'm still connected to, even years later.
Working across the Balkans, especially with such dynamic transformations from many countries, really offers a diverse and rich experience. When you bring together a global network, like Swiss EP, it shows what's possible with a positive and collaborative mindset.
My standout Swiss EP moment was definitely my first assignment: working with the Tirana municipality team to support the delivery of the inaugural Tirana Digital Nomad Festival. Having first visited Albania in 2018 through an EU project, I found it gratifying to return and witness Tirana's remarkable entrepreneurial transformation. I have no doubt the region's momentum owes much to Swiss EP, whose contributions have been pivotal to the flourishing ecosystem everyone who visits remarks on.
One of the most meaningful aspects of my involvement has been mentoring emerging talent. It was a joy to give back and just as enriching to learn from future leaders. I'm really excited to see the region go from strength to strength.
I'm especially grateful to Jakob, Blendina and their team for their trust and collaboration across multiple engagements. It's been an honour to support Swiss EP initiatives, both on the ground and remotely. The continuity of our work speaks to the strength of the program and the depth of relationships it cultivates.
I'm proud to be part of this community and always open to contributing further to meaningful, innovative and partnership-focused projects. Congratulations on 10 years, and I look forward to seeing what's next for the decades ahead!
