Swiss EP Partner Summit 2025: The New Era for Vietnam's Startup Ecosystem

At the 5th Summit, Swiss EP reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening connections and fostering collaboration within Vietnam’s ecosystem by convening key stakeholders.

The 5th Swiss EP Vietnam Partner Summit 2025 brought together over 40 partner organizations (POs), entrepreneurs-in-residence (EIRs), investors, ecosystem builders, corporate representatives, and policymakers for two days of meaningful discussions and collaborative action. The event provided a platform to share a future vision, be aware of critical challenges, and co-create practical solutions to strengthen Vietnam’s startup ecosystem.

Expanding Horizons: A Telescope to Vietnam’s Startup Future

The Swiss EP Partner Summit has always been a platform for collaboration, insight-sharing, and forward-looking strategic discussions among Vietnam’s key startup ecosystem players. Each year, it fosters open conversations, practitioner-driven learning, and the co-creation of solutions to address real-world challenges.

This year, under the theme The New Era, the summit embraced the metaphor of a telescope—symbolizing exploration, the navigation of uncertainty, and the expansion of collective perspectives. Over two days, more than 40 partner organizations (POs), entrepreneurs-in-residence (EIRs), and key ecosystem players engaged in high-impact discussions—moving beyond theory to develop actionable strategies that drive meaningful change.

Swiss EP’s EIR Bui Hai An captured the essence of this approach:
“The real value of the Swiss EP Partner Summit is in its practitioner-led learning—where those of us working daily with startups can exchange field-tested insights. It’s not about abstract theories; it’s about strategies that have survived real-world pressure.”

At its core, the summit acted as a strategic lens into the future—emphasizing high-impact programs, expanded capital access, stronger founder support through global collaboration, and the integration of Swiss innovation expertise to propel Vietnam’s startup ecosystem forward.

Key Insights: Driving Vietnam’s Startup Ecosystem Forward

Vietnam’s startup ecosystem thrives when efforts are synchronized rather than fragmented. By fostering stronger partnerships among ecosystem builders, corporates, investors, policymakers, and key stakeholders, progress can be accelerated. Discussions at the Summit reinforced the importance of moving beyond dialogue to concrete actions that drive measurable impact. Additionally, embracing a global-first mindset can help startups enhance their competitiveness and scalability, positioning Vietnam’s ecosystem for long-term success.

The Ecosystem Collaboration Sprint emerged as a standout outcome of the summit, where participants co-developed six strategic action plans to address Vietnam’s most pressing ecosystem gaps. Rather than imposing a singular vision, Swiss EP focused on empowering diverse stakeholders to articulate their directions while identifying areas of alignment.

A Pivotal Moment for Vietnam’s Startup Ecosystem

The Swiss EP Partner Summit 2025 reinforced a critical realization: Vietnam is at an inflection point. While no single entity can dictate the future, the ecosystem’s strength lies in its ability to foster collaboration, share insights, and commit to meaningful actions.

Reflecting on the event, Swiss EP EIR Hoang Viet Tung shared his enthusiasm:
"Huge thanks for the invitation and connections at the Swiss EP Partner Summit! It was one of the most memorable experiences of my life, deepening my understanding of Swiss EP’s mission and its collaboration potential in Vietnam.”

As the summit came to a close, the message was clear—this is just the beginning. Advancing through Phase 3, Swiss EP remains committed to empowering founders, creating inclusive growth opportunities, and supporting Vietnam’s ambition to build a globally connected, resilient startup ecosystem. The challenge ahead is not just to envision the future but to shape it actively through intentional action and collective effort. Vietnam’s startups are no longer just local contenders; they are poised to take their place on the global stage.
